Hi I would like to know what can I do about my friend being falsely accused of theft in a shoprite store near us. My friend and I went to buy a few necessities after we were done at the till point the security stopped my friend and accused him of taking an item which he decided to put back last minute but obviously left it somewhere else. At the door the security told him to walk with one of the staff members who apparently saw him take the item bare in mind this staff member was following us since we entered the shop everywhere we went she was present as if we are criminals/thiefs. No one apologized after the item was found because management was also present at the till points and friend was embarrassed and humiliated as the store was full and everyone was watching. I also think that they judged us/ him as he is a tall black gay guy and I don't think what happend was right. Please help.
