Question posted in the General Law category relating to Eastern Cape
Hi, I have a bond with Nedbank. I couldn't pay and I asked the bank to help me sell my property. The bank agreed and even sent the evaluator to do the evaluation. They listed the property with different agencies and even made follow up but unfortunately we couldn't sell. I managed to sell the property with another agent and now Nedbank says they weren't aware that I was selling and they gave me the penalty of about R40000.00. They say even when they were helping me,I still should have called them and give them notice that Nedbank Is helping me to sell the property. Should I pay what they want, I will have a shortfall of R16000 and I don't know what to do
