Question posted in the General Law category relating to Free State
I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT LAST YEAR OCTOBER, MY CAR WAS TAKEN TO A PANELBEATER. HE TOOK SO LONG TO FIX THE CAR. IN JANUARY 2015, MY CAR WAS FIXED BUT COULD NOT MOVE, HE SAID I SHOULD LEAVE IT THERE HE WILL FIX THE PROBLEM. IN MAY HE PHONED ME SAYING WE SHOULD SELL THE CAR AND HE WILL GIVE ME A BETTER CAR. WE AGREED, BUT I STILL DONT HAVE A CAR TILL NOW. THE PROBLEM IS HE MANIPULATED ME IN HANDING OVER THE PAPERS OF MY CAR. SO HE SOLD MY CAR, SINCE THEN I HAVE BEEN GOING TO SEE HIM AND HE KEEPS PROMISING BUT HE DOESNT GIVE ME A CAR. THE ONLY PROOF I HAVE IS MESSAGE CONVERSATIONS AND CALL RECORDINGS... SHOULD I GO TO THE POLICE OR IT WONT HELP AS HE HAS THE PAPERS? PLEASE HELP
